I swear sometimes watching latin tv is actually worse than watching US tv, it’s actually whiter. Everyone who ‘matters’ is white as yogurt, meanwhile indigenous and black latin@s are (if they’re lucky) the help, even though together we make more than half the population… but ya, I wanna hear more about how white latin@s feel so excluded…
Latin America keep on holding that white...

When I was growing up in Puerto Rico, I knew I was different. Very young I would shyly look at the guys and admire their looks, their bodies, the way they dressed. It’s funny, when my dad would go to the bank and make his transactions, I would stay in the car and every guy that walked by would get a score of 0 to 10 from me. I grew up knowing I liked guys,...

Hey chosen familia and friends, I’m scheduled to have top surgery on June 26th and I’m still trying to get the rest of my funds together to pay for the surgery. I am paying this completely out of pocket and have about $5,000.00 saved of the total $7,780 cost. This does not include travel, food and housing while in San Francisco, but I’m most concerned about fundraising...

TAKE ACTION: Help Seek Justice for Lorena Escalera...
janetmock:
On May 12, 2012, the New York Times reported on Lorena Escalera’s death in the midst of a fire in Brooklyn apartment. It was a highly problematic and glaringly dehumanizing article that focused on her body, her alleged sex work profession, her sexuality and much more. GLAAD organized a meeting with some editors of the Times - a meeting they only agreed to after being publicly called...
